Floating Product Videos ("we", "us", "our") provides a Shopify app that allows merchants to select videos stored in Shopify and connect those videos to products so they can be displayed as floating product videos on their online store.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we process when you use Floating Product Videos, why we use it, how we protect it, and how you can contact us about privacy matters.

1. Information We Process

Shopify account and store information

When you install or use Floating Product Videos, we may receive information from Shopify that is necessary to authenticate and operate the app. This may include your Shopify store domain, Shopify account information associated with the app installation, authentication and session information, and access permissions granted to the app.

Product information

The app processes Shopify product information necessary to provide its functionality, such as product identifiers, product titles, handles, status, images, and the association between a product and its selected floating video.

Video and file information

The app processes information about videos selected through Shopify's file and video library. This may include Shopify file identifiers, video file references, filenames, processing status, and video URLs supplied by Shopify.

Video files are stored and served through Shopify. Floating Product Videos is not intended to replace Shopify's file storage system.

Support information

If you contact us for support, we may receive the information you choose to provide in your message, such as your name, email address, store information, screenshots, and details about your issue.

2. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

Floating Product Videos is designed to provide a merchant-facing product video management service. We do not intentionally collect personal information from shoppers merely because they view a floating product video on a merchant's storefront.

The app does not intentionally use floating product videos to build advertising profiles, sell personal information, or track shoppers across different websites.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above only as necessary to:

• Authenticate and provide access to the app.
• Identify the Shopify store using the app.
• Display and manage the merchant's products.
• Connect selected Shopify videos to products.
• Allow merchants to replace or remove product videos.

4. Shopify Data

Floating Product Videos uses Shopify APIs and Shopify-provided services to provide its functionality. Shopify data is used only for purposes reasonably necessary to operate the app's features.

We do not sell Shopify merchant data or use Shopify data for unrelated advertising purposes.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Certain app information, including authentication/session information, may be stored in our application database while it is necessary to provide the service.

Product and video information may also remain in Shopify because the underlying products and video files are Shopify resources. Removing a video connection from a product does not necessarily delete the underlying Shopify video file from the merchant's Shopify Files.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, or otherwise fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed by the app against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Connections between users, Shopify, and our hosted application are protected using HTTPS/TLS where applicable.

7. Shopify Privacy Requests

Shopify provides mechanisms for merchants and individuals to request access to or deletion of applicable personal information. We will process applicable Shopify privacy requests in accordance with Shopify's requirements and applicable law.

8. Third-Party Services

We may use infrastructure and service providers necessary to operate Floating Product Videos, such as application hosting, database infrastructure, email/support services, and Shopify's APIs and services.

Such providers may process information only as necessary to provide the services we use to operate the app, subject to their applicable terms and privacy policies.

Depending on where you and our service providers are located, information may be processed or stored in countries other than your own. We take reasonable steps to protect information processed through our service.
